An important package for developing Vocational Training Facilities for Women was announced by the Hon'ble Prime Minister on 19th and 20th of November '2004, as a part of the reconstruction Plan for the state of Jammu & Kashmir.

Under the programme 9 Women Industrial Training Institutes, with modern trades, will be established at the following places in the state of Jammu & Kashmir:

Besides the establishment of exclusive Women Industrial Training Institutes training facilities in the following ITI's will be supplemented by addition of women's wings in these ITIs.
